What's Your Edge

As I'm sitting here, I'm pretty damn hungover. I am also consistently spilling coffee everywhere. That includes all over my clothes, on my floor, on my bed sheets, and on my computer. The coffee does help cure the hangover though. Trade offs...

So yesterday I played like shit at the tables. I feel like with PLO you really need to focus and make sure you play your best. When I play my A game, I tend to crush the games. When I don't, I tend to get crushed. Yesterday was a roller coaster. I was initially down 3k. A lot of that was from running just awful, but my game wasn't there either. I actually rallied and was up 1k and quit. I came back later and put in another session and dropped 1.5k, so I ended the day stuck under 1k. I've been using PT for every session since I got my computer reformated and I love it. It's giving me added motivation to win. I've also realized that I play way too loose at 6man PLO. over like 2500 hands at PLO, I'm down about 6bb/100 at 6 man but up 110bb/100 at HU (like 600 hands hu and rest at 6man). I think overall that puts me at about 10bb/100 total. Although, it's a little skewed b/c I got crushed by someone HU at a 6man table yesterday and dropped about 4 buyins. Regardless, I'm going to focus on tightening up.

We have another office party tonight. Always a good time. I also think tonight's turnout will be pretty good, so I'm excited. It will be a good last night in IL before I head off to vegas.

Today I need to get completely packed and ready to go to vegas. I'm not looking forward to packing, but I'm really pumped to get out to vegas.

Pokerhand.org is working again, so look for some hand postings in my my next post. I'm also going to go buy a new camera today (broke the old one) so that I can get some sick vegas picks. In the next month, except my blog to be better than it ever has been. What better than to blog about living with a bunch of poker players in my first post 21 bday trip to las vegas.
