I am still pretty pissed about what happened from 7 people down. losing 4 consecutive all ins that deep in a huge huge tourney with such a totally skewed payout structure is really really frustrating. i know i should be happy with making another wpt FT and cashing for almost 200k but it just feels like one big missed opportunity. I felt like I had a big edge at the table with any stacksize based on my position and if i won any 1 of the 4 all ins i would have been in fine shape. its just really crushing to get beat down repeatedly like that.
I sound like a whiny bitch right now and reading this over it looks pretty bad but oh well i have to vent it somewhere. ill be fine after i get some sleep. 3 WPT final tables in my first year playing live tournaments is definitely something to be proud of. I am looking forward to jumping back on and playing a lot more 10k wpts next year.
id like to say congrats to eugene catch-a-lot 
. really nice guy and very solid player. good to see him take it down. also like to say congrats to the others who made the final table. it was the toughest live event ive played in to date and making it through that field was a really good accomplishment. and one more shoutout, to apathy who is the sickessssssssst and if he didnt go through a similar stretch to what i did 2 days earlier would probably have gone into the FT as a dominant chipleader.
when i get back home i have a lot of stuff to do:
1. make a mid stakes full ring video for CR. Right now my inclination is to make a video of me 22 tabling 1/2 nl or 2-4 tabling 2/4 or 3/6 nl. whatever you guys would rather see.
2. write up my 5d main event report with all the interesting hands and stuff

congrats man. Your first year is an amazing accomplishment. I would love to see some tourney vid's with some insight into difference between online tourney's and live large buy ins' Congrats on an amazing year. BY the way the ms paints are great.

I think 22 tabling 1/2 doesn't give us enough analysis and more than 2 tables would make the video resolution not as great.

but lets do this. 4bb for the win. guaranteed 192k at this point which is ok, im really disappointed i couldnt win one of the 3 all ins i had 7 handed but im still happy to be there and have a chance to win. a few doubles and im right there.

down to 18, restart tomorrow. ran insanely hot the first 2 levels today. ill make sure to have a big post after i bust with all the important hands from the tourney, but basically i won JJ v AQ, JJ v 99, AK v QT and KJ v AK vs a short gus hansen to go from about 200k to 1.2m. got up to 1.7m at one point but finished the day at 1.24m in 9th place.
comeon leeeeeeeeeeee lets do thisssssssssssssss two timessssssssssss.
on a funny side note when i sat down at my first table today, erick lindgren mentioned to me that he read my blog. "so, you got a lot going on up there?" and points to his head. was pretty funny, hes a nice guy. but yeah, im assuming some of the remaining field will find this so it would be bad to post the hands while im still in the tournament.

really really dominated my table yesterday but didnt get many good spots to make a lot of money, but ended day with about 90k.
150 people left, 100 cash. the bubble is going to be insanely important so i hope i get a good table draw. ill post all the important hands at the end of the tourney.

I wrote up a huge blog entry about my hands today, but it got messed upj fdjksafljdsafsa, so ill post them later on when i have time.
but anyway, i survived day 1, have 22k which is kinda short going into day 2, but still have about 30bb.
and i have decided to return to the mspaint canvas. i have been inspired by this guy:

Pretty amazing shit. this guy is unreal.
things going ok in vegas. have done pretty poorly in the tournaments, having only cashed in 1 tournament for the minimum but im doing well online in the meantime, up around 10-12k in limited play. going to take a few days off from live poker and hang out, play online, and go to the UFC fights on saturday night with gboro780 and mig.
I went to the rampage vs chuck fight back in may which was pretty disappointing, hopefully this will be a good show. I dont know much about MMA but im going to start following it a bit more as it is getting much bigger than boxing and both mig/nazgul are obsessed with it, so i constantly hear about upcoming bouts.
one final note, im going to stop by the fashion show mall tomorrow and pick up a microphone and ill record my next video for CR sometime this weekend. havent decided what im going to do yet, but it will likely be mid stakes full ring as there seems to be a high demand for it lately.

I seen a documentary on Lego Models a while ago and this stuff designed on a computer program all th guy has to do is put it together like a numbered jigsaw, anyone could do it with the right traininghonestly, im not trying to say its not amazing stuff just that its not done freehand as you might think.

Hey, maybe you can do 1 table of FR and 1 table of 6max side to side so it illustrates the differences of play. I know I'm not nearly as comfortable at a full ring live game even though its full of donks. I also left you a PM to see if you were free to meet up.

I've bubbled the last few donkaments at the bellagio. the 1500 was kinda funny, i lost a bunch of all ins and ended up having 1bb left on the button with 53 left and 50 cash so i tried to fold to cash rofl. apparently all the other nits were trying to do this as well so i didnt make it.

i cant tell you how many times ive played this game. the 2nd quest took me about 8 years to beat but i finally beat it for the first time last year and i felt very rewarded. im probably going to go play it again when i get home from vegas.

god punch out was awesome. i still play this one too. mr dream is a bitch but once you get the timing down on his knockout punches for the first 90 seconds you can beat him. i have never tko'ed him but ive won in a decision a few times.

Went bad.
I got in last night and decided to play the nightly 1k to warm up for the five diamond series. It had a really small turnout of 55 people and I wish i had played live cash or online instead but it got me warmed up for the series. My reads are pretty good right now and I think i have a good feel for how people are going to be playing in the upcoming weeks. I made one questionable laydown but i think it is good.
100/200, utg limps with less than 15bb. he didnt seem very good but i hadnt seen him limp with this stack yet especially from early position. I was right after him with TT and made it 800 with another 5500 behind planning on obviously calling his push and making a read if someone behind me came in. Folded to rainkhan in the cutoff who shoved for 3900, utg folded and it was on me and i decided to fold because I thought he should be folding 99- cause im not isolating an utg shortstack light, especially since I had been playing fairly tight and there were no antes. he later told me he had 88 (he thought i was isolating utg guy light) and i guess i should have called because he probably has AQ and some lower pairs in his hand but I think he should be folding those because i never have a weak hand there.
I ended up busting in 16th with KK v 99, oh well no biggie, not a huge tourney anyway, was only 24k for 1st place, just good to get the live practice in cause i havent played since september.
Today I played in the first five diamond event. I busted in the first level on a really borderline spot that I luckily had the best hand but it didnt hold.
25/50 level, 3k starting chips, utg+1 limps he has 5k to start the hand, button limps and he has 10k to start the hand, i complete sb with 97cc and about 3200, bb checks.
flop 998 2 spades, i check, bb checks, utg+1 bets 300 (1.5x pot), button makes it 800, and i have a pretty tough decision. i studied the utg limper and i felt he didnt really want much action so i put him on a high pair which was supported by his big flop bet, and when i began studying the button he called the clock on me pretty fast, after i'd been thinking only about a minute which I thought was kind of poor ettiquette but also a tell that he wanted me to fold.
i decided he wasnt strong either so i shoved, they both got it all in and utg+1 had 97dd and button had T7ss for open ended straight flush draw. I probably would have folded if i didnt have extra reads on the players because against that action in a limped pot my hand is not all that strong. the turn made the flush and we didnt improve so i was out in about 30 minutes.
I still dont know how i feel about my shove, but reading the button for a draw combined with the fact that utg looked like he wasnt too happy with his hand made it seem ok to get it in. i guess utg understood relative hand strength and the fact that 97 is fairly weak in his spot facing that action but he just wasnt good enough to get away from it.
got a lot of time to make some things happen in this series though. will probably play every event and ill try to work in some live cash as well because i've never played enough of that and its super soft. i am also thinking about playing the 15k event at the venetian but im not sure about that one cause the bellagio events seem pretty big, i think todays event got roughly 500 people, so playing a weeded down 5k with 500 people is probably better than playing a 15k with 200 good players.
