What's Your Edge
February 06, 2010
In the last few days I've been running quite well, winning a ton of flips and hitting a lot of draws when I've semibluffed. However, I'm not playing up to par at ALL and I'm not sure what it is. I think the 5k hands/day schedule is really getting to me, because I'll formulate reads on players and then act the exact opposite of what I should do. This has especially been happening tonight and yesterday night. Normally I would just quit the session when I'm playing like this, but there were so many fish playing that I talked myself into staying. This turned out to be the wrong choice as I made one bad play after another vs the regs and still ended up even most of the time due to suckouts and winning flips. I think I'm going to lighten my play load a little, and see how that goes.On the up side, I've been going to the gym every day, and I'm really starting to feel a difference. It's amazing how your body craves exercise when you are consistently doing it, yet it rejects exercise so very hard when you are doing nothing. I hope to keep it up, and the upcoming weeks of travel will definitely test my resolve. Hopefully I'll still be able to keep this rigorous workout schedule :).

Gl with the exercise. I've started exercising as well and it makes me feel 10x better.
