Okay....so it took some time to put this together....I had to go through hundreds of picture and upload them!!!  Some are from this year and a few are from last year and what not (since I didnt get to have my yearly Christmas party and I said Id put some pictures up).  Hope all is well and everyones New Year was great!!!

My mom has collected Snow Village since I was a child so shes got endless ones boxed away.  This year I wasnt able to go all out with the lights, snow, fluff, etc. but I thought my mom would appreciate me putting some out for her here and there.  I hate that I couldn't do them up....but Ill do them up next year and take an awesome picture just for her!!

haha  Im so over the top Christmas....this is atop one of my TVs....you can imagine how the rest of the place would look!!  Im so dedicated to the spirt of Christmas that I deal with having to maneuver my remote up in the air for at least a minute to change anything because the sensors are obviously blocked!!



The fireplace....sadly not as pretty as usually....well to me this isnt even pretty  hahaha  but I was proud I did a decent amount being sicky!!  Would have been prettier with a fire going but there was no me doing that alone!!!  Ill include one with a fire if I can find one!!  Oh well....at least Santa can come down this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I saw this after most people had left I died!!  It was a good thing too cause I remember that night being a little rough in my mom's house doing my Christmas party without my mom (she always brought up a honey baked ham and deviled eggs for my party EVERY year for 10+ years no matter how far away I lived).  hahah it was fitting because my mom loved setting those deer up at Christmas and she adored my friends...she woulda had a good laugh herself after a stern "Mer!!!!!'  To this day I have no idea who did it....sad thing is almost everyone present is a culprit of such a thing!!!

Two years ago when I got my dad 3 or 4 antique rifles for Christmas!!!  He was like a little kid opening them!!  Hands down one of the most fun Ive had giving someone something!!  He took all of them to Christmas lunch at my Uncles and showed all the guys (most of my fam are big hunters)....it made me sooooooooooooo happy!!!



Festival of trees!!!   My poor friends....I have no idea how the guys deal with me dragging them to these kinds of things!!  They say its too much fun to watch me get super excited and act like a little kid....so I guess its not so bad!!  I love anything Christmas....so I go to the Festival of Trees, the Night of Lights, and the Nutcracker at the Fox every year without fail!!  UGA TREE!!!  GOOOOOOOOOOO DAWGS!!!!

Night of lights....Im sure most cities have stuff like this....but if you dont its 293490234923904230942309409220934 light exhibits set up by/on the lake here and you drive through it with your radio set on a certain station (and if you are with me you will endure endless singing WITH the Christmas songs!!!  again....my poor guy friends!!). You have to turn your car lights off and are only allowed to have the parking lights on....so that makes it EXTRA fun!!!   In the middle of all the lights there is Santa's Village!!!  So you get to take a little break, do some shopping, ride park rides!!, play park games and roast marshmellows in giant fires!!!  fldajfldjflsdflkjsdkfjasklff I love it soooooooooooooo much!!!

Christmas went by fast and with many mixed emotions.  It was my first holiday season to fully absorb the fact my mom wasn't here, but my friends kept me as busy as possible so it was bitter sweet.  Ive been laid up so shopping this year was a bit harder.  I loveeeeeeeeeee Christmas shopping so it was a little ggrrrr not being able to just go as needed this season.  Plus a ton of time went into getting my new M3 so that wore me down a bit (Ill catch up on that another time).  My little brother did go to the mall with me one day and help me out, poor thing....he just sat there in some stores while I tried to decide between various things!!  He was also in his basketball outfit and we were in and out of like Tiffanys, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Saks, Hugo, D&G, etc.  haha he was like uummm Im a bit under-dressed hahah I felt bad!!  It was fun though because it was the day I picked up the M3 so he was having a blast either way!!

I didnt get to go as all out with shopping as usual BUT at least I got most of it done.  Plus, I got a little decorating done around the house so not a total loss!!  Sadly I didnt have my yearly Christmas party, the 1st time in 10 years!!  Its kinda meh but I just know it would be the end of me this year with my health (Ill include some pictures from last year) cause I do the whole 9 yards...snacks, finger foods, appetizers, main course, desserts, etc. etc. It usually takes me 2 or 3 days of cooking before hand and I wake up early the day of and do not stop until around 8pm when the last of the food is done.  Theres usually about 20ish+ people and we all do presents and I make stockings for everyone!!!  Awww I miss it just talking about it!!  Ive always had amazing friends and they really are like family to me so I always look forward to the annual party....but Ill just have to make it the best ever next year!!

In more recent years my family is kinda sporadic around the holidays so Ive usually spent it with my friends.  I havent been home for Christmas Eve since I moved out at 18 so its something Im just used to.  On Christmas Eve I go to my best friend Jamie's with his family and then on Christmas I make a stop at my Uncles and then spend the rest of the day at my brothers with the fam (fake bro/fam).  This year played out almost the same with a few changes.  On Christmas Eve my dad cooked and invited us all over, I was just going to head up to Jamies since me and my sister don't really get along (I figured Id just avoid the conflict and let her go to my dads since I had somewhere else I could go) but my dad told me my sister wasnt going to make it so I went over there for a bit and then headed up to Jamies.

I adore Jamies family, they really make me feel like I am part of their family...which is super comforting with everything thats happened (aside from my fake fam I think Im closest with his).  I didnt think I was going to see him before he left for out of town right after Christmas so we decided to do gifts that night, catch up, and watch Christmas movies!!  He hadnt even had a chance to wrap mine before I got there so he was literally wrapping it in front of me, making me turn my head around obviously...but I still held my hands up so I wouldnt peek!!  Afterwards we hung out a bit and watched The Grinch!!!  Obviously since Im obsessed with the holidays I squeeze in every Christmas movie I can....so finally feeling up to getting out for a bit and watching them was just what the doctor ordered!!  (Some other awesome friends had watched a few with me though while I was recouping so xoxoxo love yas!!)  After the movie I was begged and guilt tripped into staying the night but all my meds and my pups were at home so after some tactful arguing I was permitted to leave!!  By the time I got home I was good and exhausted so I was able to fall asleep fairly easily!!  At least it was a fun drive home in my new car!!

Christmas day I was woken WAY too early by my little brother wanting his present!!  hahaha  So I definitely didnt get all the sleep I needed but its okay!  I tried to take it easy for most of the day and figure out what I was doing.  Jamie had called and said his mom had invited me up for Christmas dinner later that evening...so I was trying to fit going to my Uncles for a late lunch, going over to my bro's, and making it up to Jamies.  It turned out that my bro was going to have to leave his house by 6pm to make it to his girlfriends for presents so I figured Id just skip going there this year since Id only be there and hour.  It did feel weird though because I had been with him on Christmas for awhile now!!  But it did make logical sense to just cut it out, especially with how I have been feeling, and the fact that each house was an hour apart in a triangle!!!  (I still havent gotten to see my bro since he got home from school weeks ago...if that gives you an idea of how sicky Ive been!!) 

So I got ready and went to my Uncles around 2pm, it was nice because for once everyone was there!!  All my aunts and uncles, cousins and their kids, etc.  Usually some "set" of people are missing because something else with another person's family was going on at the same time!  I missed last Christmas because my mom had just passed away so it was shocking to see some of the kids...they had gotten sooooooo big!!!  One of my cousins had gotten married while my mom was ill, so I had missed the wedding, so I was like "oohhh yeah, a new person!!!"  Also, one of my other cousin's children was almost 2 yrs old and I hadnt even seen her at all yet!!  So when they walked in Im like "whoa, oh yeah!!!  You have two kids!!!"  haha  Most of the other kids are under 4 so they were huge compared to the last time I had seen them!!!  Obviously the littler ones didnt remember me but for some reason kids adoreeeeee me, so within 15 minutes they were all about me.  haha It was to the point that I was sitting at a 2 ft kiddie table with them and actually never got to eat!!  I loved it though, kids make me sooooooo happy!!  So for the few hours I was there I had at least one kid in my arms, another by the hand, and others in tow!!  I guess I somehow became the babysitter hahaha


Around 6pm or so I left my uncles and headed up towards the lake to Jamies.  I actually tried to find a shorter route by putting the address in my GPS since I was on the other side of Atlanta....of course it ended up taking me a longer way than I was originally going to go though!!!  When I got up there they had done most of the presents and Jamie was downstairs putting the Wii together for everyone (the kids).  I knew this meant a longgggggg night!!  hahaha  I wasnt feeling so well, kinda drained, so I just curled up in the big comfy chair with a throw for a bit and almost feel asleep while he was hooking it all up!!  They had already eaten by the time I got there and Jamie knows how I am about eating (I dont eat very much) so he went upstairs and made a plate of stuff for me....total sweetheart....but it was also to make sure I was taking care of myself!!!    I definitely didnt have the strength to play wii, and Im not crazy about playing it anyway, so once everyone came down to play I snuck off to Jamies room to get a little nap in.  About an hour later his mom came to check on me, shes so sweet about it always, and she had just had surgery recently too so I know she was worn out as well!!  I got up for a few and attempted to watch the wii-fest but I was still a bit weak so I laid back down for almost another hour!  I cant believe I slept so long...I never nap!!  It was a good thing though cause the drive home woulda rough without my cat nap!!  I think we watched Christmas Vacation after that, but it was over a week ago so I cant remember what night that was!!  Anyways I yet again drove back home, snuggled up in my super cloud like bed and eventually feel asleep!

The day after Christmas I did my doggie's Christmas, unfortunately I didnt get to do it on Christmas Day because I was gone most of the day!!  I got pictures of it that I will get up soon but Rocki got dressed up and they got a lot of stuff from Doggie Santa!!!  Jamie called around noonish and told me his mom had invited me up for their family Christmas dinner and to come on up (they didnt get to do it the night before because someone was sick and they didnt come up).  When I got there we had a little bit before dinner so after Jamie and I set the main table I dangled my keys in front of him and asked him if he wanted to drive my newwwwww car!!!!  hahaha  Mom told us not to be long cause everyone would be there soon and we headed out.  Hes a good driver but I have to admit I was worried since the roads are super curvy on the lake where he is AND it was getting dark AND if my new car got wrecked Id cry for days!!  So I just took a deep breath and trusted him with all my might...cause I knew he was gonna push it well past what I had done with it yet!!  The handling on the car is unreal, which he commented on almost right away, so that put me a tiny bit at ease when he had her up to 100ish on some not so straight roads!!  I didnt breath for much of the 20 minutes we were gone  hahaha but it wasnt so bad since I only said "easyyyyyyy" once!!!  We got back and helped put all the food out and sat down for an awesome dinner.  After dinner we played with the kids some and obviously the wii antics began again!!  After the little ones went to bed we (Jamie, his sis, her friend (bf?), and his parents) put in the new Batman and watched that. A few of them hadnt seen it yet so it was fun!!  Well it woulda been fun anyway!!  Around midnight I was totally wiped, my stamina is super level these days huh!?!? so I headed back home.  It was kinda sad cause he was leaving for outta town until it was time to go back to school so I knew I wouldnt see him again until I went to visit next semester!! 

Hrrmm, lets see, those are my days...what other random things should I put in this one about Christmas.  A few friends got me extremely thoughtful gifts this year, they really did make my holiday if you are reading this!!  Im super easy to please so the simplest, smallest things make me soooooooooooooo happy and excited!!  I still have to do some Christmas stuff with a few more people, including my brother tonight!!!  I havent even seen him since he got home for break (mainly cause Ive been recouping) and he goes back to school tomorrow!!!  The fam went down to the Caymans for New Years so they should be landing any minute!!  I cannot wait to give them their presentssss!!  fljafljdslfkaj  Im sooooooooo excited!!!  Well I guess Ive made this long enough for now!!  So I will catch up on the million other things Ive got going on later!!

Ive felt worse in the last few days than I have in a real long time....but hey thats life!!  Either way I should be laying in my bed resting today, which I was actually relishing that idea last night, but what am I doing?!?!?!   I got up, forced myself to run a few errands, got starbucks......and yes.....started playing mtts!!  If I had done anything today it should have been relaxing and at the most gone and seen The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which Ive been dying to see since I heard they were making it.

Ok, seriously, sometimes I wonder about myself!!!  There is no doubt I should be in the bed watching my Dawgs win, snuggled up, then proceed to indulge in my old movie binge....but noooooooooo I have to be difficult!!  I really do hope I cave and take it easy tomorrow and Saturday but the chances are I wont cause Ill end up doing something I shouldnt do as always.  Dumb me even went to my storage unit to try and dig out more old movies....I was even attempting to move boxes around!!!!  It always seems like a good idea in the moment, then afterwards Im like "wow, Im the biggest idiot on earth"....like right now!!  Maybe I will try and make it a light load of poker today then watch some more of my old movies!!!  Hrmmm  I think tonight it will be Rebecca or the Maltese Falcon!!  Maybe BOTH!!!  My friend has enjoyed the movies Ive made them watch so far so I think either of these choices will definitely not disappoint and I cannot wait!!  Lets hope poker goes well then I get to curl up and watch these!!



Here are two things friends showed me lately.  Im horrible with the internet so unless Im linked to this stuff I never see it!!  The first is just some funny pictures, a few got a good laugh outta me!!  The 2nd is a really neat article that made me sooooooo happy!!  Im a HUGEEEEEE believer/supporter of animal aides and this article covers a wide variety of this in regards to various animals aiding people with disabilities.  I think its amazing!!!  I also think animals can do wonders in various forms of rehab therapy.  I better stop myself here because I could go on and on about this for over an hour!!


(Im sure most of everyone but me has seen this but I still loved it...the kid's paper is hilarious and I pray to god that ball with the tigers is real cause Id so do that in a heart beat!!!!!! and the storm picture is unreal)

Rebecca is one of my top 5 movies ever...its one of my fav Hitchcock films...and has 2 of my all time favorite actors: Olivier and Joan Fontaine.  She is actually still alive and resides in France I believe....my life would be fulfilled if I got to meet her!!  I grew up adoring her and her sister Oliva de Havilland, who is also still alive (she was in Gone with the Wind). 




One of Bogarts best, right behind Casablanca for me!!  I pretty much love all his movies though.  Bogart and Clark Gable are my dream men!!  Its not just their suave either, their voices are to die for!!  They sure dont make men like they used to....although Southern guys come pretty close!!

Cant leave without a picture, so not Mer-like, so here is the movie I am going to watch with the sucker I talked into watching it with me!!!!!!  HA! (to bad my other friend is missing out)  No, seriously, its one of my all time favorite movies and I really hope they like it!!  If you havent seen it I would for sure recommend it.  Im obsessed with old movies and absolutely adore them....so I try and spread my love!!!  PS: Bogart is the ultimate man!!!!  So dreamy!!!  Oh and because of my old movie binge lately (since Im tourturing a few friends by making them try old movies) I ordered 3 books about Hepburn, two of which she wrote herself.  She is one of my all time favorite actresses, I was so sad when she passed away a few years ago.  Im not much of a reader....actually I never read books....so this is quite a feat for me....hopefully I make it through all 3!!  Im kinda excited!!!  Im pretty sure I will though because Ive been intrigued by her since I was a child.

I finally seem to be back on a semi normal sleeping schedule!!  I actually had more than enough time to workout this morning before playing, but seeing as Im still recovering I dont think that would have been a good idea!!  Instead I picked up around the house and took the doggies outside for a bit.  I guess it was a good thing I had extra time too because when I got to starbucks this morning I realized I forgot my wallet  grrrr  so I still had enough time to come home and get it and run back out!!  I dont necessarily need the coffee but on a long day like today it helps later!!

Anyways...Ill throw a few pictures in here since Id hate reading a blog without pictures because mainly Id just look at the pictures!!  A friend gave me a white tiger a few days ago and I had it put on a shelf in here.  Usually when puppers sees a stuffed animal of any size she whines for it non stop....well this time she seriously growled at it non stop for a few hours!!  It was hysterical....so much so I kept it outta her reach for awhile!!  Im guessing maybe its the coloring (the white with a little black) that might mess with her eyes and make it look weird to her.  I finally put it on the floor and she fearlessly ran up to it and started climbing all over it.  Now this thing is at least 5 times her size but the little rascal somehow manages to drag it around, she accomplishes this by either rolling it on its side or displaying her strength by pulling it by the tail!!  I love this stuffed animal so she got a limited time to play with it, mainly because if I didnt let her have it just once she would forever whine/bark for it....lets hope she got it outta her system!!!  Hope everyones holidays have been good so far and all is well!!!

Puppers loves to lay in between my lower legs under the desk while I play.  I have a quilt in my lap so she basically just chills in a hammock pouch she creates!!  Sometimes she wants to lay in my lap lap while Im playing so she sticks her head through the little space and does the cutest whimper in the world!!  If I look down at her she begans to wag her tail super fast against my legs and whimpers even more fiercely!!  Its all I can do not to crack up and hug her BUT I cannot positively reinforce this behavior so I try and refrain from letting her always get her way!!  How can I resist that face?!?!?!?



Look at her go!!!  She actually got it all the way up in the bed with a mixture of pulling it by the tail and standing over it and rolling it towards herself!!  She is one determined puppers!!



Assers coming over to check out what all the commotion is about!!  She never understands why the puppers plays with all these toys or what shes doing half the time!!   Im glad I took this picture though because Assers has a boo-boo on the back of her leg I prolly wouldnt have noticed otherwise!!  Vet trip early in the AM now!!

Now usually I hate squirrels because they will get in my attic from time to time or I run over one and feel horrid or they harass my teacup chihuahua when she goes outside....but yesterday I couldnt help myself but find them cute!!  I play poker in front of a few large windows, mainly because its more relaxing and its nice to watch the weather or keep an eye on my doggies when they go out to play!!  Well my bigger dog lovessssss to chase squirrels...when she goes out the doggie door she quite literally stalks them....its hilarious to watch.  She silently sneaks out the doggie door then hunches close to the ground and inches towards the direction shes spotted the squirrels in a total lion like fashion!!  She does this so much so that the local squirrels know to be on the look out for her!!  If they hear the dog flap they bolt for the top of the fence or up trees BUT sometimes shes as stealthy as a cat and I get to watch her go for the kill!! 

She goes from stalking crouched mode to full on bolt in 0.20394023943402934 seconds....Im talking she takes off so fast she leaves claw marks on the deck or in the dirt....no lie!!  On top of this, if the squirrel is on the ground and takes off up a tree she FOLLOWS IT UP THE TREE....no, not just to the base, she CLIMBS THE TREE.  She has gotten about 10 ft up before but on average she goes about 5 ft, which is still a feat to me.  The vet told me her breed was known for that capability and I just wish I could get some picture of it....when I try I scare the squirrels off long before she gets to sneak attack. 

Lately the puppers has ruined her attacks because she has a bell on and is curious as to what Aslan is up to.  Although grotesquely one time "they" (Aslan) did catch a squirrel and proceed to uummm break it up into pieces to play with....barf!!  I realized that they had succeeded because puppers brought a portion of the squirrel inside to me!!!  I was like OHHHHHH MYYYYYY GODDDDDDDDD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PUPPERS!!!!!!!!!   She had been so proud and instally looked horrified...I felt so bad for all parties involved!!  Aslan had obviously caught and killed squirrels before but she didnt bring them in the house!!  I think I ruined the puppers confidence though because she has hung back in the squirrel hunting expeditions lately and definitely hasnt brought me body parts recently!!

Anyways, back to the point of me enjoying the squirrels yesterday after veering off about things that didnt even matter!!  Well I was sitting here playing some and I saw a few squirrels outside my window playing around and eating acorns.  I usually say "Go get em Assers!!!!" and she takes off outside but today I decided to get a few pictures!!  Now keep in mind I am looking through about a 5 inch space at the bottom of my monitors out this window WITH a screen and these pictures still turn out this way!!!  Im endlessly impressed with this lens and camera!!  Its amazing how it focuses past the screen and through a few inches between my desk and screens.  Here are a few of the pictures...

The detail of the fur was amazing once I loaded it onto my computer!!  This is about 20 ft away through a window with a screen...and taken through about a 5 inch space between my desk and my monitor bottom.


Awwwww they look so cold....I almost feel bad for them....and they look so hungry!!!

Lately my dogs have been playing a TON together.  They only played with each other like a few times a week before recently and now it is like for a few hours everyday!!  I think it is because the bigger dog had gotten a bit too rough with the puppers a few times so either the puppers didnt want to play out of fear or Aslan was scared she was going to hurt the puppers.  Well now they are having a hay day with each other, playing most of the time or sleeping while I am playing poker.  I couldnt help but snap some pictures over the last few days.  Now keep in mind Aslan is hrrmm about 8 years old and was severely abused so she has never been one to play with dog toys EVER...well the puppers LOVEEEEEEES toys so over the last year Aslan has watched her run around with her toys and fetch them endlessly.  Occasionally I will hear the puppers whimper because she has left her favorite toy in Aslans bed or Aslan has stolen it and shes begging me to get it for her since she gets growled at when she tries to retreieve it!!  Well yesterday I threw one of the puppers toys behind me for her to get and Aslan launched out of her bed and went after it too!!  Obviously Aslan got to the toy first, taking it and laying on the floor and softly chewing on it....I was shocked!!!  I guess a year of watching puppers excitement with toys finally provoked Aslan enough to find out what was so great about these things!! 

It was beyond adorable because Aslan would lay there and ever so softly bite on different parts of the toy trying to figure it out!!  All while the puppers is looking at me helplessly whining for me to help!!  Everytime she would go near Aslan she would get a warning bark and she would run back a few steps and lay down whimpering!!  The bark was more a come get it one than a back off one....so I wasnt too worried.   All they had really done together at this point has been the puppers will go outside and get acorns, she brings them in and tries to break them up but her mouth and teeth are too small, so Aslan in curiousity always comes over and takes it and chews it...breaking it into pieces....probably thinks "you crazy puppy" and walks away leaving the puppers with little pieces for her to play with!!  Sometimes Aslan will lay there with her and randomly chew on the little pieces though....I must be a bore for the dogs if they are chewing nuts for excitement!!  (you can actually see little pieces of broken acorns on the floor in a few pictures).  Well after tormenting the puppers with her toys Aslan finally realized that the puppers was too scared of the big bark and resorted to pushing one of the toys right out in front of her and doing the play with me growl/whimper.  Eventually the puppers got up enough gumption to make a dash for her toys and the pictures that ensued were so hillarious!!  I know Im putting a ton in here today, but I seriously cut out over 100 I took....so me ending up with JUST these is a feat!!!   Hope you enjoy them a fraction as much as I did!!  Hope all is well!!!

Puppers with her fav toy - a chihuahua (its as big as she is) on Aslans bed, lately Aslan has just laid down beside it and chilled out if the puppers was already in the bed....so sweet!!!  Although she does look super bummed that her bed was stolen!!!!



She is usually in my lap or ON my feet but on the rare occasion she curls up somewhere else its so aawwwee!!

They both make it back to the toy at the same time!!  The one and only time they have tug-a-wared a toy!!!  I hope this continues....especially to the point that the puppers gets dragged across rooms!!
