Sorry kiddos -- my dad used to call me kiddo all the time, i like to use it myself but when you are 21 it comes off as way condescending. I'll be 22 in about a week though, I'm sure it will sound warm and wise then.

Anyways been a long time since last entry, don't want you guys to think I went off the deep end or anything.  I'm good, U of M likes to do this thing, or at least the B-school does, where you have class per usual... normal homework per usual.... final projects.... and then exams right away... its super nice of them.. i mean in high school I was thinking about how much I would love to have 4 independent layers of work to do for the same subject matter.. thanks!

----------------------------------------------------

Poker has been up and down, November turned out to be worst month ever... and December was racing to beat it but has since swung back to even. I've been playing a lot of 50/1 on FTP and a bit on Cake, last months undoing was a couple hair pulling head explosion sessions 4 tabling 100/200.  These are big games for me, big games for almost anyone to be honest, but I like the spots I picked and I know I'd do the same thing if confronted with them again -- sometimes there are lessons to be learned about this type of stuff, sometimes its the right time to absorb some risk.

Last part of series came out, well received, and I had like 8 guys contact me about coaching so I dunno maybe I'm giving out too many of zee trade secrets hah.  I'll try to get some hours in with everyone come January but older students will get first priority for sure and it all depends on how my courseload looks.

Final semester at U of M --- Contemporary philosophy... expect lots of fist slamming "Abortion is wrong!" in this class. Its weird with classic philosophy people are so disinterested in the material that they are able to take a real objective stance and argue logically, as philosophy dictates.

Then you apply the same framework to abortion, gun control, euthanasia, same sex marriage and people turn into monkeys about it.  I THINK THIS, I FEEL THAT -- don't think don't feel...., evaluate, deduce, be open minded and something intelligent will probably come out.

I love writing about this stuff and thinking about it, but man I expect frustrations from this course.  Other classes are criminology and 19th century political philosophy.

True capstone courses for the business major : ) I've found the business school tends to ruin a lot of subject matter for me, so I think any continuing education I do with respect to business will be self-taught, through experience, or through mentors/people I know.

Cool cool new video series idea introduced by e-mail today to all instructors here. I think something really great is going to come out of collaborating with the whole crew whether its what is originally expected or not.

More on this when details get set.

For my business information technology class last semester we had to create a website to following news and such on a topic of our choice. The goal was to utilize a bunch of web-based search tools and what not to follow a topic and evaluate the tools.

I chose internet gaming banking regulations, UIGEA HR 2267 etc etc -- you can check er out here if you want.

jegerer330.wikidot.com

Limited functionality on wikidot, but it was one of the more interesting projects we got to do.

You can check out the class site at www.howcanifindit.com --- go to schedule and browse the lectures there is actually a million amazing special purpose tools you've probably never tried.  Very unique course for b-school, ended up being pretty easy just required lots of hours.

But it was based on the premise that knowledge isn't what you know anymore, its what you know how to find....

Couple cool tools.

www.diigo.com
www.joongel.com
www.blinkx.com

Diigo is just the sickest bookmarking site out there, head and shoulders above Delicious or anything else you might use... give it a try

Joongel is a metasearch engine that has a decent interface and masssive amount of search engines and tools integrated.. its my new homepage.

Blinkx is a vid search engine far superior to google, it searches google/metacafe/yada/yada/yada and has some cool viewing and sharing features.

Each lecture in there has a list of tools for that category.

More blogs coming, I'm not even done with semester yet, still gotta do 10 pg paper on Buddhism and death, I think I'm gonna right about the universal spiritual benefits of some buddhist practices -- ie. things a christian could do to enrich life without being blasphemous.

And a couple pictures for friends/family/weirdfolkswhoareinterestedinmypictures.

Hope I didn't repost this, that would be pretty lame I think I tried to upload it last time and didn't work though.

Can't wait to get on the snow again.

So this from my change cup. Mostly ones/fives. I carry a money clip and like to have exactly 3 cards and 1 bill in it -- fits right, its not messy that way. So everytime I break a $50/$100 I end up with all kinds of change I throw in this big jug because I'm too lazy do anything else with it.  But then I end up with this gangster stack of 1/5/10/20's thats pretty embarassing to take to bank, I mean its like 1-2k in small bills. If they didn't know better I gotta either look like A) a financially responsible drug dealer, B) male stripper, C) elite pick pocket.

But hey, I can't in good conscience carry a wallet with all kinds of bills and whathaveya in it due to an irrational Seinfeld related fear.
