What's Your Edge

Hey guys, I’ve been out in Vegas since I believe on Wednesday now.  Or maybe Tuesday?  I dunno?  I played the $2500 HA and busted around 150th, there were 455 entrants.  I also played the $2500 LHE 6-max event and had a great table (minus Valesco to my immediate left) and quickly grew my stack from 7500 to 11,500, but never passed that point and went about 1.5 hours without winning a pot and making a few ridiculously strong second bests at a bad time, and I was quickly on the rail before the dinner break.

I’ve played cash games two days so far, losing both days.  The first night, some $80/160 which I managed to win $1600 in, then we finally got a crappy $200/400 started for a few hours – where I proceeded to win 2 pots the whole time and lose $11,600 in the game before quitting to do dinner with BK, Hoppmann, David Webb, Ian J, and Greg Debora.  My other cash game night I played $80/160 and again never ever won any pots.  Well, I did win two big pots, but blew about four other huge ones and blew every small and medium sized pot I played.  So I lost about $6000 that night.

So yeah, this WSOP has been quite a contrast to how last year’s went (where I couldn’t lose even one day of cash games)… at least so far.  There’s still plenty of time though!

Oh, and if you have any interest in following my tourney/cash game stuffs, I created a twitter account awhile ago.  I promise it’ll be very boring and blasé, but if you wish to, feel free to follow me: http://www.twitter.com/schneidspoker

Finally, g’luck to one of my housemates, Kyle Ray (KPR), in the final 11 of the LHE 6-max that finishes up later today!  Take it down for our house!
