I didn't like the new Ludacris as much, maybe I'm just growing past that phase of my life. Jay-Z on the other hand is a classic almost every time (ugh Kingdom Come wtf son). Gimme a list of what else you like Andrew and I can suggest some things to add to your Itunes.

The trip in Florida is still going well. Yesterday was a transition day. Most of the Stox guys were on the way out and the Cardrunners guys got in. We went out to a Thai/Sushi place for dinner. I had never heard of a Thai/Sushi mix, but I like both foods, so I was down. The funny thing was that it was actually a gay restaurant. The 15 or so of us poker players looked completely out of place. For instance, I was wearing Nike shorts and a t shirt because I was out picking up Stinger from the airport and had to go straight to dinner. The menu reflected the style of the restaurant too. My meal was called Girl's Night Out - it was simply a surf and turf. The food ended up being good and we had a good time.
Afterwards we might our nightly trek to the local bar with the pop a shot. We got a bunch of beer pong games going which was fun. Stinger was my partner. We ended up with a pretty terrible record of 1-3. We have played together in the past and we usually have done pretty well. It was pretty frustrating to not have any of the balls dropping. The last 3 games were against Schneids and Cole. We bet $100 on the first game and proceeded to lose and do double or nothing only to lose again. Cole and Schneids were nice enough to give us a 3rd double or nothing. We ended up almost running out of time. The bar closed at 2 and they told we MUST be out by 2. We both had 1 cup left as the bartender was turning off the lights and closing the blinds on the place. I nailed the last cup and saved myself a nice chunk of money.
I don't know how people who live in warm areas can get into Christmas. It just doesn't seem right listening to Christmas songs when it's 80 degrees outside. I heard two of my favorite Christmas songs on the radio today when I was driving to the grocery store and wasn't sure if I even wanted to listen to them. Not to mention, Christmas without snow sucks. You gotta have that white christmas.
I'm on Daut's computer now and I can't figure out where his music is. Where's the itunes, bro? So I'm just listening to songs through Youtube. The song I have on now is one of the songs on the new TI CD. It's pretty sweet. It's got Jay Z, Weezy and Kanye. TI's cd is really good by the way.
I love the line "I can't wear skinny jeans because my nuts are too big." I'm not really sure why I like it so much. I guess it's just pretty funny.
While I'm talking about Kanye, I want to note that his new CD is awful. What pisses me off is that people think it's great simply because it's Kanye. Basically, he just went into the studio, got high, and pressed a bunch of electronic buttons. I don't mind him trying, but it didnt' work. At least half of the songs on the album are complete garbage. I actually like Kanye a lot as a producer. I think he's one of the best out there. His rapping has always left something to be desired and can't sing for shit(which is what he does on this album). I hope he realizes that. The biggest problem is that except for Love Lockdown, there are really no upbeat songs. It's all slow and depressing sounding. That's not what I want from Kanye.

Yeah, you kinda have to get into why he made the album. His mom passing, him leaving his gf, the stuff going on in his life but I agree I don't really like the cd all that much, w/e. I wasn't a big fan of TI's cd either but w/e. I'm mostly an underground hip-hop guy, commercial hip-hop is on it's last heartbeat.

A few of us have become addicted to the pop a shot at the bar down the street. The high score is 350. Taylor is the best and he got up to 341. I got up to 323. I don't think I really have any chance of beating the high score, but it's fun. Combined, I bet we spent $25 on the game last night. That means we played 50 games. Taylor woke up saying he felt sore all over. My forearm is the only sore spot, but I still find it funny to be sore after a night of pop a shot.
It was brought to my attention last night that as little as 5 years ago, Phil Hellmuth made a prop bet that AKo was better than AKs. His reasoning was that you can make two flushes with AKo. Pretty ridiculous.
I've been working on adding some music to my ipod lately. I haven't really been adding new bands, but more trying to add to what I have. I only had a few Allman Brothers songs on my computer for some reason, so I downloaded their greatest hits. Those guys are so money. I used to listen to them all the time in high school, because I had a few of their cds.

have you ever been to The Store on the corner of Armitage & Halsted? its a piece of shit bar, but theyre open late, and they have a pop a shot machine. the thing gets super crowded with drunk people betting beers on every game.

I know I'm around a ton of poker players when I start dreaming about poker. I had a dream last night that I was playing the Main Event and I got stuck with a dealer so old that he couldn't deal the cards. I got really pissed and caused a big scene. I ended up running around asking for floor manager after floor manager. When I finally got back to my table, my chips were gone. Good times. I never dream about poker typically and I'm just fine with that. Let's hope it ends tonight.
When I'm around a bunch of good players, it gives me the urge to play high and try to go on a run. The fact is though that you can't go on runs like you could back in the day. There are just too many good players out there and a sever lack of retards, which sucks. I tried to go on a run at HU PLO last night, but I lost. What a surprise. It also got me in a terrible mood. I really hate how poker does that to me. Not much upsets me these days, except for a bad poker session. I get furious when I lose more than I feel like I should. WIth that in mind, I'm going to try to stick to some low stress stuff so that I can enjoy this trip. I spent some time grinding some SNGs today and made a few hundred bucks.
We went to a local bar last night to get some food and watch the Illini game. The bar turned out to be a local dive with a small menu. I like those types of places though, so I was cool with it. It took a little convincing to get everyone else in the same mindset, but they came around. It probably helped that we had a sexy bartender. The Illini lost a really tough game when they couldn't get a shot off at the buzzer. Just brutal. It was a fun night though.
I've really enjoyed hanging out with the Stox guys. Most of them I just met for the first time. They are a bit of an older group of guys, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. They are very chill and fun guys though. I'm glad I got the chance to spend some time with them. Most of the CR guys are rolling in tomorrow. It will be good to see them as it's been since the summer since I've seen most of them.

We are having a meeting of great poker minds + muddywater this week. We have a lot of the Stox guys and Team CR guys coming into Ft. Lauderdale to make some content and hang out. I think we'll get some great stuff out of this trip. It's always weird for me to be around a ton of great poker players. I've lost some of the drive that they have. It's weird to think back to when I played nonstop and all I could think about was poker. Part of me misses it and part of me is glad I'm done with that part of my life. The main thing I miss is being able to compete at higher levels like 10/20. These guys crush and make so much money... Maybe I'll get back there at one point. I plan on focusing a lot on my play in 2009. We'll see if I can live up to that.
I plan on playing a lot this week, so I'll try to post some hands and whatnot in here. It's been too long since I've done that.
I want to urge all of you to check out Prztyula's new triple draw video. It's honestly one of the best instructional videos I've ever watched. I'm usually not a huge fan of watching videos and I loved this one.
And just because I love stirring up controversy. I wanted to make a comment about a comment on my last post:

overpopulation to us is when animals start getting into "humans space" If we didnt try to dominate every corner of the planet most animals would probably have enough room to survive. I know nothing about it, but that is just my logical thought.

Just realized my comment was some big controversy lol. I'm not sure if people realize that hunting is a state and federally regulated wildlife management program. And yes there is something called overpopulation, sorry to be a buzz kill. There was overpopulation of animals before there was humans to create habitat loss.
Overpopulation is when an organisms number exceeds its carrying capacity of its habitat. It even occurs hundreds of miles from human civilization. Typically most animals stay in a certain area (habitat) and if their were no hunters thousands of deer would compete for the same food sources. This would lead to thousands of starving unhealthy animals. So whats worse, letting them starve and suffer? or die fast and be used for food while maintaining a healthy population?

Those of you that watch CTZ know that I was hunting last weekend. I don't know what Taylor/Ezra or whoever did CTZ said about my hunting excursion, but I'm willing to bet it wasn't talked about in a positive manner. Hunting is sweet. Fuck all you guys that hate on it. I got a nice 8 point this year. My tentative plan is to mount that bitch and put it up in the office. My desk is in the main part of the office, so if I put up the head, everyone will have to look at it everyday. I like the thought of that.
I got the deer at about 11:00am on Opening day. It was nice to get one right away, because it meant I didn't have to put much effort into the hunt the rest of the trip. That allowed me to get some reading done and just clear my head. It's really nice to get away from the hectic city life for a few days and just enjoy the outdoors.

On another topic, the Bulls are pathetic. Their lack of an inside presence is completely unacceptable. It's an obvious whole that Paxson refuses to address and it really pisses me off. Big men have been embarrassing the Bulls so far this year and that isn't going to change. The game last night against Portanld was beyond laughable. At least Rose is a pimp. He's the only bright spot on this team.

Nice I spent last week hunting too, got me a 38.5" moose. Not sure how many points, but it has the biggest rack out of any moose I've seen in the area we hunt in alberta in a really long time.

I dont believe that you would have achieved this unification under McCain. You certainly wouldn't have come a step closer to unifying with the rest of the world.
I am an Australian and everyone here was ecstatic that Obama got in. Your external reputation as a nation is poor - perhaps poorer than some of you think. There is a lot of hatred out there for you guys (as there is to a lesser degree for us). I think Obama is the man to bring you back to being a people that others strive to be like - as you have been in the past.

I had a great Halloween weekend. Friday was the night we all dressed up in our costumes. As I mentioned in my last post, my roommate has a striking resemblance to Rufio:

We didn't do anything too special. No one really had any parties to go to, so we just headed out to the bars in the Wrigley area. Turns out that night was maybe the most crowded I've ever seen the bars around here. It was a really nice night weather wise so I think that encouraged even more people to go out. I guess no one stays in on Halloween either. I saw a few people who weren't dressed up and they looked completely out of place. What would drive you to not dress up? Too cool for it? Who knows...
In the past we have done a Moustache and Too Much Cologne bar crawl. We decided that the night after Halloween would be the perfect night to have the latest installment. It was a blast. In fact, it was more fun then Halloween. We mostly looked like pedophiles, but that was ok. We just wanted to look as ridiculous as possible.
I told Julia to dress as crazy as possible and that fake hair was a plus. She came as neon girl while also sporting her Hannah Montana wig. I thought it was a pretty good outfit for a girl tagging along on the pedophile bar crawl.
One of my favorite stories of the night was that a few people went to the local/shitty strip club after the night. The girls treated them awful. They said it was impossible to get dances and when they did, the girls made it very clear there was no touching. I have to assume this was directly related to the moustaches. A few even went to the back room only to receive the no touching treatment. Crazy stuff. I can't say I've ever heard of that.
