CARDRUNNERS
What's Your Edge
I'm back in Chicago and feeling a lot better. I basically just got overwhelmed at the end of my Vegas trip. I was losing money in everything I did and just tired of being out there. I'm big on routine. I had no routine in vegas except for get up at 2pm, lose thousands of dollars online, go to dinner, lose CC roulette, go play blackjack, lose about $500. The only time my days played out differently was when I wasted all day in a wsop event only to not make the money. ugh. That's the life of a gambler sometimes. The truth is that it's important to be able to walk away from gambling when it isn't going your way. It's impossible to do that in Vegas while the WSOP is going on.
I've been grinding 2/4 plo and $200 sngs since I got home. As you saw in a recent post, my sharkscope graph was pathetic. I've been working to grind my way out of embarrassment. There is no way I can have a negative sharkscope. I've run pretty poorly but I also needed some adjusting. I wasn't playing nearly patient enough. Considering I've mostly played HU PLO latley, I don't think it's a huge surprise that I lost most of the patience in my game. I think I have it back now. I'm playing very patiently in my games now and I feel like I'm picking good spots. I'm finally out of the negative on Sharkscope!
PLO has been up and down. I won like 12 buyins the first session that I played after I got back. I lost most of that back yesterday though. I think I'm going to use a stoploss going forward. 4-5 buyins sounds about right. What are the chances I stick to that though? Pretty slim.
Small dogs suck. They really bring nothing positive to the world. They bark, they run around constantly and just never seem content. I like lazy dogs that search for sun spots and couldn't be more content after finding a sun spot. I take that back. They do add one positive thing. If you walk them, they are big chick magnents. Caroline's roommate asked Caroline to watch her dog for like an hour or two. Around lunch time I took the little sucker for a walk. He would run up to girls walking by. They loved him. Good stuf.
I'm looking forward to a weekend of partying in Chicago. No more dress shoes. No more bottle service. No long lines. Just sandals, beer and good times followed by drunk Mexican.
Lastly and mostly importantly, I want to wish GL to all the people I know that are left in the main event. Joey Ward, Bruce, David, Devin. One time bitches. One time.

you really are a mean spirited person, how dare you stereotype small dogs into one category ;-(
you walk our dog downtown chi and i promise you a date every night of the week..although if you still with gf you don't need dates with that lil vixen
can't wait to get the hell out of vegas. heading back to chicago tomorrow afternoon.
I grinded it out all day and I had about 15k with 20 minutes left. It wasn't a big stack at all, but I was feeling fine going into Day 2 with 15k. The blinds would start at 250/500 so I would still have plenty of play. Then this hand came up. It went raise, reraise (Jeff was very active at the table) so I was going to go with it. It never comes...
Congrats to everyone that made it through Day 1. Joe has a really nice stack.
I also got interviewed by Pokernews earlier in the day. The funny thing is that I talk about how much I hate playing all day and then getting knocked out at the end of the day. I was honestly the most upset I've been in recent memory. I don't know why it makes me so mad to bust out after a day of play, but it does. I wanted to punch a hole in the wall.

Do you have any idea how many players there were on Day 1A or how many entrants there will be total?
