CARDRUNNERS
What's Your Edge
Just wrapped up a pretty lengthy first session for the month of September. All in all, I netted just under $4500 in about 2500 hands, but the journey from start to finish was as brutal as you'd expect from mid-high stakes PLO. Session graph:
My day at the tables was divided into two separate (and quite unequal) sessions. During the first one, I was card-dead at 10/20 & 25/50 and basically never won anything substantial. The latter was far more enjoyable, however, since I finally started making hands and crushing dreams. But unfortunately this was mostly at 5/10 since the bigger games either weren't running or weren't any good. Some of the interesting hands:
I was check/folding the turn here if I didn't turn my backdoor outs, since this villain doesn't get too out of line with flop raises. Given my turned outs though I have to stick it in.
People are terrible at this game. "I have a mediocre made hand and a mediocre draw that I'm not sure if I want to hit or not...might as well go allin!" --Villain's thought process. Too bad I don't run well enough to win as a 3-1 favorite. Omaha is such a silly game :(
No idea wtf this guy was thinking here. I think the flop raise is pretty standard, and although I'm certainly not happy about him calling and the turn bricking off, I am not folding this hand so I figured I might as well just shove. And wow, I was shocked to see his hand when the cards got flipped up on the turn...a million outs drawing once; THANK YOU DEALER!
That same guy ended up playing (and 3-betting) pretty much every hand, so I took good advantage of that in this hand. One pair no good sir!
Same guy again on another table, this time with another aggro maniac also donating to the cause.
Knowing when to peel the flop with no pair no draw OOP is what separates the marginal winners from the big winners. If the river bricked I was def value betting bottom set, but even though it was kinda ugly I think folding 2nd set to this retard is pretty tough for 100bb. But I guess that's why he has the $10k stack and I don't. *sigh*
Time for bed...my super blender comes tomorrow, and that will surely be awesome. GL guys!

I just got done watching your 25NL vids and they were awesome. I subscribed to this site so that I could learn how to beat those stakes and move up. So far your vids are the most helpful. You should post make more microstake vids.
