Here's why I'm spending $400 on a blender

As ostentatious as it may sound, this thing straight up kicks ass. If you aren't familiar with the Will It Blend? series of videos on youtube (and now their own site), you should check them out to see what happens when items such as a golf club, an iPhone, a 2x4, or a video camera meet the destructive power of this 3-horsepower blender. One of my favorite episodes is "Don't Blend Me, Bro" where he blends a stun gun:

But the best is definitely part 2 of the video camera blending episode -- entitled "Will It Return?" -- where they try to return the remains of it to Best Buy. How this guy keeps a straight face through it all is beyond me:

This thing looks so sweet...you can just throw in room-temperature soup ingredients without preparation and it comes out steaming hot because of this thing's massive torque. But as awesome as that is, I was sold on this thing after watching the very first demo where the guy makes a smoothie with it. So cool!

Plus it should come in handy if I ever need to grind up some lumber...
