I spent today trying to get my passport replaced at the agency and missed the 2:30pm submission cut-off time for getting it the same day by about 3 minutes. Despite my pleas, they refused to budge on this, so I'm picking it up tomorrow at ~12:30 on my way to the airport. If all goes to plan, I should arrive in the Bahamas tomorrow night and make it to the Atlantis by midnight. Hopefully this ordeal is all over in 24hrs.

On a different note, I've recently rediscovered my love for jam bands in the last week. Something in a conversation with my brother in NJ last week refreshed my memory of seeing Umphrey's McGee at the Vegoose festival in 2007, and I've been listening to them a ton in the past few days. One of my favorite songs by them right now is called "Plunger" from the album Anchor Drops -- check it out:

There are very few things (if any?) I love more than listening to really good musicians jam, especially when they play more avant-garde, complex musical styles like fusion or progressive rock. Jam bands like Phish are what helped get me into appreciating these more advanced styles of music, and I'd forgotten how much I loved this type of music. It's good to be back!
