This month so far is one of the laziest ever in terms of playin CG. I don't know what is going on with me but i'm just not in the mood of playin cash games right now. I've been thinking a lot about this because the Iron Man promotion is really forcing me to put in hours/day to get the bonuse but sometimes 'cause of this force i had to play longer sessions than i wanted and that force made me play badly occasionally. The section about Quitting in "The elements of poker" made me to make some changes in my habbits in terms of playing long sessions. Actually I think about poker more than ever before but not in the theory sense but more at the mental and psychlogical side.

I gathered many FTPs in the last years and read everywhere that the only possible way to spend points w/o getting cuts from my rakeback is to spend on tournaments. I've started to chase entries for the big MTTs at the weekends, and now I'm chasing miniFTOPS entries. In this hunt i watched my rake dive into minus... so the bottom line is:

YOU CAN'T SPEND FULL TILT POINTS WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT FROM YOU RAKEBACK

I would like to gain entry for 9 miniFTOPS event and already have 4 entries so only 5 more. I hope i can reach ITM in some of them.

The only thing you can use FTPs for that wont affect rakeback are the step satellites for tokens (26 adn 75 dollar ones).

i think you can use your points for the 750k and the double deuce tourney and it won't affect your RB either.

I am sure there is a giant post on 2+2 about this.

February was a lazy month, it's a big set back in terms of volume. I've played 13k less then my previous month so i'm definetly not satisfied with myself in this area (i've lost like 220$ in bonus & rake just from not playin more). There are some negative things which also kind of showed up again (like: look into the resuls, surfing the net occasionally while playing, listening to certain music which shifts my focus away from playing) which I want to eliminate again.
These were the negative issues, let see some positive ones. 
 
I had 2 great coaching lesson with Steve(SGB5000). I think we're really in a good way to develop me into a thinking player which is really the achievable objective. The results showing that there is something good going on, still lots of room to improve but the signs are good. So confidence is slowly building up for another shot at nl50, somewhere around April.
 

I see myself to playin' massive number of hands in March at FT and PS. It will get me iron status on FT and gold status on PS which is combined somewhere around 50k hands. For a guy who has a full time job and a family could be a real big goal to reach but i won't be sad if i can finish again around 40-45k hands.

Hi folks,

there is a great party going on on PS till the 21th of February. They celebrate the 40.000.000.000 hand and every million nearing the 40M is a milestone where cg players can earn some extra. Check it out if you haven't already done it. On this promotion page at the very bottom there is something worth mentioning. You can purchase 40$ for 2.500 FPP which is the best $/FPP rate avaible (as good as the 4000$ for 250k FPP at SN level), so if You have free 2.5k FPP to spend it's a nobrainer.

Today is coaching day. We will focus today on big pots i've played recently and hope to plug some leaks in my thought process. I finally starting to feel that i have some grip over the action now I find it's time to get rid over the silly pushes i make if my made hands get outdrawed time to time.

Sadly this month will only be gold at best at FT because i was very lazy at the beginning of February. This is a setback compared to the two previous months. At PS i've cleared 15% of my first depo bonus and two level of the stellar bonus. Definetly looking for more.

If i'm in the mood i'll try to win entry for weekends big MTTs through sattelites, besides the two big freerolls i can play through my rake affiliate...
So im busy, busy these days...

I have mixed feelings about the first month of the year...
First of all what really satisfies me is the amount i've played. Topped again my best by almost 10k. I consider 40k hands pretty impressive for a guy with a full-time job. TBH i think I'm somewhat close to the peak with that effort.
What makes me kind of sad is the play I showed. Committed many avoidable mistakes, maybe was on semi-tilt too...
The month ended up in the green again (btw it's 14month in a row now) but I consider january as a breakeven month with only 2bi-s profit which is ridiculous.


So I thought it's time for change...

now I want to focus on improving my play. Forgot many things we spoke with Steve in 3 coaching session and it's just my fault. He can't do much more than shoving the right way, i have to walk on it. We agreed w Steve that we should make the lessons more regulary so we will have every two weeks and try to shake things up. What i will do is watch again the videos made about the coaching sessions and try to recover my play as good as i can.

I try to change my daily routine too in terms of playin. I will study concepts and try to plug leaks (with help of Steve) in the afternoon and play max 4 tables to try the new things out and to see whats work. In the night i will play my usual sessions to maintain the daily 200 ftp pace... so thats the plan.

Also I won't look this month at my BR. Will remove the profit related columns from HEM just to concentrate more on the stats and focusin' on the direction i'm headin...

let's see how it goes.

I've read about that many grinders try to avoid keeping track of their BR while grinding tons of hands keeping their focus on the game.
Today i've decieded that I wont look into my BR this week. I never look at it in a session so why don't take it further. If I can keep my eyes off this week, I'll try to nail a full month in February.

I thought a lot about this month so far mainly because i'm don't doing so well. I had to realize that there is no need to blaim luck if I play like a retard. Don't know how things turned this wrong this month. I make mistakes I never maid before, get frustrated of playing badly. Yesterday was the 2nd time in a row that i checked my results ending a streak of almost 3 months without looking. New personal "best": -3bi in 70 hands. Obviously tilt. Sad. I have 6 opportunities to clean this mess up. I know i can do it but am i in the real menthal state to pull it off?

January still isn't very kind to me but i'm already even at FT and up 6bi on PS. Already played a good amount of hands and if I can keep the pace t will be a new record of hands played in a month. It's very refreshing to play on a different site if things didn't go well at the old one.
Yesterday I set up TableNinja and wrote an AHK script which will enable me to resize and move my tables if neccessary. Somehow the bet sizes didn't work well with TNFT and i'm still tryin to solve the problem. I need to develop my script and I have great ideas and task to work on. I f i don't find code for my ideas on the internet i'll try to write it myself...

This morning i suffered my biggest loss in my carreer. I've lost 6bis in just 1300 hands.
Honestly, I don't think I played that bad just things didn't went my way this time. I do made one clear clear mistake i remember but mainly my fired barrels and thin value bets got hammered by the river. Evaluated the situation ~90% of the time somewhat correctly but the river cards wich made me beat were sooo unlikely (example: 2KQr 7 3 with AK vs 23s) that I fired / bet happily again. Also I wasn't able to compensate the losers with my winners which is partly my fault. I tried to experiment occasionally with wild overbets against targets (possibly because I was down and wanted to get my money back quickly - but i'm not sure) but they didn't worked.
I think it's a great opportunity to start finally review the marked hands not just mark it and leave.

All in all nothing tragical happened, it's just a feedback to start work harder...

January started, and after 6k hands i'm down 1bi wich -considered the medicore play I make these days- is acceptable. Have to pull myself together and focus more because I make 1-2 medium-to-big errors in a session wich is more than I can afford. If the things starting to get better i'll take a shot again at NL50.

I think it's time for me to start to look for another site besides FT, I choosed Stars cause the gr8 first deposit bonus so i will deposit some money and will start to build a bankroll there to. I plan to start at the same level as I play here on FT. FT will be the primary site though, maintaining iron man status is top priority only if that is secured will shift to playing more hands on stars.

I purchased a security key at the FT store more than 6 weeks ago, now I'm really pissed why the stuff isn't arrived yet?
