I'm pretty sure I can get back to even by the end of the week. At least that is the hope. If I can get back to even with 10 days left in the month I think I can still clear a pretty decent profit.

Played a short session this morning to clear Iron Man points. I hate when I play to clear points. I play like garbage.

Mental Focus,

This for me I think is one of the hardest elements of the game to master. I just get too involved & play sub-optimally when things arent going my way. But when I'm clear & focused things are obv incredibly better.

I am playing shorter sessions of 5 tables max and before each session I re-affirm my that I am relaxed, focused and clear. I make decisions based on maths, game theory,  logic & reason but not emotion!

Hey everyone, I'm going to give this blog a try.  Probably nothing too exciting going to happen in here, but who knows.  Probably some updates on poker, microcap stocks and just general ramblings from a Western Canadian.

 

Currently I'm playing NL50 at Fulltilt and trying to clear a bonus there and become a better player.  So far it's been break even over 10K hands of 6max and about 1.5 buyins at NL50 Fullring.  Had a bad day today -3.5 buyins. KK<AA (should have been a fold preflop as this guy was like 2% PFR, of course I didn't look until after).  Flopped the nut straight and lost to runner runner flush and flopped a straight with flush redraw and lost to a bigger flush on the river.  Decided to quit for the day shortly after that.

 

I'm in the process of attaining a coach to work on my game.  I think it will give me a new perspective on my game and maybe turn the doomswitch off.

Hey guys, just got in a quick two hour session before the Duke game, lost aboout 35 bucks, not terrible considering I got caught in a set over set, probably my fault that I didnt fold the hand I will post it later, also had to fold Aces in a deep pot when it became clear the player slowplayed a set.  Along with losing a number of medium pots pretty happy to only lose a small amount.

Also during my play, my sister called me and she was in town checking out her new apartment, she is graduating in June and its really cool that shes only about half an hour away from me.  So we are going to go out tonight, of course i made it clear that it would be after the game lol, so it should be a fun night, so on that note

Drink of the night: Bottle of Chianti (red Italian wine)

This new year has been shit plain and simple!!!   Last month I  am stuck I seem to win some and then just piss it all back.  Running at less then 2bb/100 this year.  over 50k hands. Im taking at least a day off maybe 3 to clear my mind.  Im so tilted right now and the beats are unreal.

 Just Shifted $500 to cake poker in hopes to grow my bankroll, as well as trake advantage of rakeback. Not sure where to go from cake, but dosn't seem like the type of site that I would play primarily on (UB seems likely). I have to wait for this transfer to clear, its pretty frustrating. I'll probably try to find a raketherake freeroll or something; I got like $35 bucks at my other site, not much I can do with that. Hopefully I can clear this bonus and peel anouther $500 off and clear anouther. Looking at all those 50% rakeback sites and big bonuses not available to U.S. players really sucks but. I'm really looking forward to grinding with that bonus and 33% rakeback.

Since baseball started up, all my time has been spent teaching and coaching.  I've been getting in around 9 or 10, and I'm just too exhausted to do anything but go to sleep.  I've put $1k into Epassporte that should clear around Monday.  So then I will deposit that onto UB, and start working off the 111% bonus.

I entered a 4 dollar 180 person tournament yesterday. This after watching 2 videos on MTT. I came in 17th or 18th-- but ended up winning 4 dollars after over buyin. Not anything to throw a party over, but a clear improvement over my MTT play prior to now. I'm hopeful.
