I have never ran so cold.  I am actually thinking about taking all of October off.  It seems that my cold spell is effecting how I play.  i am getting big hands but nothing seems to hold up.  Now I am afraid to play.

After finishing coaching with SGB5000 (kudos to him, he's a great coach who really takes time to analyze leaks and put you on the right track), played a few hands (not many, had a cold :/), but things are definately improving

Thanks Steve!

Not a whole lot to talk about I've had an annoying cold for most of this week and it's really been draining my energy.  I haven't gotten in too many hands due to just feeling really tired a lot and I've also been running pretty cold at the tables.  I can't seem to hit flops....ever.  So it basically comes down to playing board texture and double barrelling against certain players, I haven't really had much to show down so I've had to win most of my money w/o showdown.

Had one day early in the week where I just ran pretty gross having hands where I have a straight and the villain hits his flush, or I'll flop top two with AQs on a AQ5 board and villain has 55.  Nothin too fancy, hopefully I'll get over this cold soon and be able to grind more.  I had a lesson with Ray and I think it went well, we're just working on playing a pretty solid style and taking advantage of the bad play at 100nl.

Later.

I am running so cold right now...i understand people go thru cold streaks but wow.  I have taken a few days of came back ran horrible...took more days off came back ran even worse.  I am running so bad in allin situations i am in aww.  Here are the stats for the past couple weeks.  I don't mind being cold but wow i have never lost this many all in spots ever.  I am losing my 90% favs like i was the underdog.  I guess i am gonna stick to hold em for a bit or play some limit omaha hi/lo because i am sick of plo right now

Here is my luck graph:

Seems that the swings happen so frequently in PLO. How have you fought them before? Do you have any hands that you can share? I do like your posts and use then to build my knowledge of this game.

I think I caught a cold this weekend, I think its from sleeping a grand total of like 6 hours all weekend and waking up in a house that was like 120 degrees from the heater.  But hopefully its not something stupid, I think its just a little cold which is pretty weird for me.  I hardly ever get sick (knock on wood), last year I got the flu around this time, for the first time in my life, but other than that I don't think i have been sick at college other than a random cough or something, which is also quite ridiculous given how nasty some of the places I have lived are.

School is pretty dumb these days, its really really boring as all five classes I have no interest in, and I am just sitting there going through the motions.  Its also fun because as long as I don't get all C's I will graduate Magna Cum Laude, (can't get Suma, got a B- first semester Freshman year....), SO there is really no need for me to try hard at this point.  Also, the job search has been going ok, I have been interviewing with a company that seems pretty solid and will allow me to make my own hours, move around a bit and not be forced to come in and sit at a cubicle all the time.

Poker this month was as good as I can hope for.  I am annoyed/dissapointed I didn't get to stick with PLO because the games are so much better than HUNL, but for the short run the switch back was probably a good decision.  I may try to play some PLO, but I just don't get to play much and learning a new game is very time consuming so I don't know how I feel about this.

I managed to play about 12k hands of NL, didn't do to well at 6max over a smallish sample, but crushed HU.  In HU, I won at close to 12BB/100 over only 6 or 7k hands.  On the month I played 22k hands, 3/4 were from PLO or 6max NL, both of which I lost at, but since my HU play was at higher stakes and I ran good/played really good, I was able to make a little bit.  Also, I ended both of my stakes for mutual reason, both of which were profitable, and I think I made just over 3k between the three guys that I had staked over the past two months, so that is pretty awesome, considering I was down close to 3k between the three a month ago.  All in all, it was a good month, I made a  bit between the milestone bonuses on stars, and assorted forms of rakeback which is pretty cool, (wish i could get real rakeback on FTP).  Anyway, here is two fun hands from the month, probably my biggest two.  The opponent is a pretty solid 6max grinder who has moved to HU as of late and is deffinately pretty solid.  Like last time, I don't wanna give any reads of anysort, although one might be kinda important but owel.  As of now he stacked me a bit and I was down close to 5 buyins against him across the two tables, he was running pretty good, and I made one bad river call, and one debatable one.  I also ran into some spots where normally I should have a ton of equity but wasn't doing so hot when we got it in.  KTs on QJx where he was capable of bluff 3betting my c/r and getting it in a bit light as well, but he showed up with AA here.  Anyway here are the two hands to swing the match back my way that I was able to finish up a buyin and a half or so.  THis match was actually quite intense and fun/frustrating at times as we were 200bb deep or more for the majority of the time.www.pokerhand.org/,www.pokerhand.org/.  Obviously they are super standard spots for him to stack off and for me to get the money in.  It was just pretty sick that i had clawed back, got some stacks and then had these two hands occur at the same time.

Plans for Feb:  Play poker!! I know this is a lofty goal, and playing >15000 hands will be a stretch as school will be ramping up and it is senior year and everyone is all about hanging out/partying as much as possible, so I really only have a few hours a week at best to even get to play.  Outside of poker I'll have to think abit about what I want to do.

I guess thats about it,

Best of luck at the tables and good luck in February!!
