What's Your Edge
I have absolutely 0 attention span right now and i cant figure out whats going on. Every session i play horrible. I cant focus for more than 15 minutes on anything lately. i've literally done nothing productive in about 5-6 days. I tried making a video twice but both came out horrible and scrapped both of them. Im going to take the day off, relax, take it easy and come back strong tomorrow.
Im going to make a 2/4 full ring video on stars and then maybe a steps video. if anyone would like to see anything else lemme know.
im gonna go watch blood diamond because its awesome and a movie is about the only thing i can focus on right now.

I want you to read your pm's and take me up on my offer. It's about a side bet with Taylor.

Hey Daut. One of the biggest issues that I've had with my poker game is moving up from 1/2 FR to 2/4 FR. In your 2/4 FR video, can you talk about important concepts that players should adapt to while moving up. (3 betting ranges in late position vs. Calling 3-bets in position.) I find that there will be a time when I just finally "get it", and can move up to 2/4, 3/6, 5/10. However, it's taking longer than expected, and I just want to see if there were some things that you believe are important to moving up to 2/4.
Thanks

Glad to hear you're making another vid soon! I'd love to hear more about just improving your game on a session by session basis. The kinds of things you do away from the table, etc.

Hey Daut!
I really enjoyed your previous FR video on Stars and found it useful. I hope you get your game going again. Best regards!
Yesterday was a pretty uneventful day. I played ~2000 hands and run a little bit over expectation.
I cut down on the number of tables, since I saw the last cts video, to 3-4. It really helps to focus on every decision and makes it a lot easier to navigate in big pots.
My stats :
Ok, here are my December goals and some reminders to focus on:
1. Play 30K QUALITY hands
a. Done by playing close to 8K hands/week
b. Quality means playing my A-game or better
2. Focus on table selection
a. Table must be >30vpip OR have at least 1 known fish that I have position on
b. If the fish leaves or the table goes bad, I must quit the table and look for action elsewhere
c. If I am running bad and/or have a poor table image that may effect my ability to win at the table, I must leave and
find a more profitable situation elsewhere.
3. Stick to a 3 buy-in stop loss per session
a. If I am down 3 buy-in's in a session, I must take at least a 30 minute break before returning to the tables.
b. If I spew 1 buy-in, meaning I get stacked when I really should not, the same 30 break rule applies.
4. Take extra time to make turn and river decisions. This is where most of the money goes in, so these decisions are key.
a. Take at least 5 seconds to decide what the best action is on the turn and river.
5. Make sure about 90% of my bluffs are either c-bets or some sort of semi-bluff. 10% should be a good randomizer.
a. Semi-bluff qualifies as at least 4 outs (gut shot), but preferably 6 or more (pair and an overcard, 2 overcards, 1 over +
gut shot, and better).
6. Take at least a 30 minute break per every 2-3 hours of play.
7. Spend at least 25% of my poker time on continuing education: session reviews, videos, posting in forums, reading, ect
8. Get some exercise (30 minutes+) and/or sun (10-60 minutes) every day before playing.
Reminders:
1. Patience and discipline beat the low stakes. Play ABC poker and have a good reason to make a move.
2. What do I beat? What beats me? Does this make sense? Focus on ranges.
3. Focus on playing position and controling the pot size. Big pots=big hands. Have a very good reason to felt 1 pair.
4. It's all about correct decisions. Weigh the options in each hand. Put the pieces together. Act on the conclusion of sound analysis.
5. It's a game, have some fun.
I have a copy of this that I will review each day before and after playing. I will review these goals weekly, and make changes if needed. I will post a final review here at the end of the month. Lets gogogo!!

Nice strucure and goals. The 30min break for a spew seems pretty harsh, but you know yourself better. So, good luck to you!!!
Today I decided to focus more and only play 3 tables. I didn't play much at all which is pretty dumb but I didn't feel like playing today very much.
I took a shoot at NL100 today since my bankroll past $1,2k which is the limit for me to go up and taking shots there.I had a good session and won $181 which made this horrible month to at least a small winning month.
i widened my reraising preflop game a little from late position and from the blinds.
Tomorrow I will continue to play 3 tables and try to focus as much as possible and also try to put in around 1000 hands which is my daily goal at non-weekends.
I played 173 minutes NL50, 843 hands ,before prima crashed. Lot's of fish lately which is nice, I feel very comfortable now at NL50. It's really fun to play nowadays when I play 4 tables and focus on the reads. I need to put in 6h more before thursday to reach my week goal of 21h.
It's been about a week since I've played due to work/time restraints. I Had a buy-in win at 100NL HU and 4 or 5 buy-in at 50NL HU. I lost about a buy-in at 100NL 6-max however, which is weird since 6-max is a lot easier than heads up. Hopefully, I can get back in it and stay focus on my 6-max game again. Gonna put in some more hours during the break.
* played 2.6k hands and lost some bi. reasons: bad plays, a little bit of tilt and cold deck.
* nothing to worry, just play more focus and stop trying to do other things during the sessions...
* cya, tomorrow will post some good photos here! good weekend to all!
I couldn't sleep so I logged on to PartyPoker. A fixed limit $10/$20 6max looked very soft so I sat down. I lost about $520 but according to PokerEV I should have averaged +2.8 BB/100 with average luck. I'll continue playing $3/$6 and $5/$10 next week but if a $10/$20 looks soft next weekend I'll take another shot. I only played one table so I was able to focus on hand reading much more than I normally do when multitabling so that was fun.
well so far I wasted 4 months
I need focus/serenity/concetration
too much marijuana
not enough control
