Once again I had a poor session on the virtual felt. I would like to say this is variance; however I believe it is my poor play. I have to be honest about playing poker. I tend to call off my stack with TPWK against donkamaniacs who actually catch a hand. For some unexplainable reason I get it in my head that a player who VPIP is 35-60 and PFR is between 28-45 can’t actually pick-up a hand. So I give them no credit when they do, and DONK! reload. I figured out what would actually benefit me. I do study the games. I watch all the CR videos and I read, but still DONK! Maybe I watch the better players make moves and aspire to make those same moves. 

 

Anyway, what I actually need is a helper, someone who will sit next to me and guide me through the difficult situations. I figure the best person for a job like would be someone with a firm hand. I need a Trunk Monkey!

 

A Trunk Monkey would be able to see me raise A5o from the SB and call a re-raise from the BB. The Trunk Monkey would use a small club, or SAP to strike me in the head to get me to stop. The Trunk Monkey would whack me in the head when I continue to call small bets with my 2 pr on a three flush board. I need the discipline that a Trunk Monkey would provide. I actually need a virtual Trunk Monkey to send through the phone lines to whack those idiots who like to type “TY” in the chat when I make such stupid plays. So I will be searching Monster.com for a Trunk Monkey. A Trunk Monkey who is familiar with poker, and who is well versed in the ways of a made man, maybe someone in the Gambino Trunk Monkey family.

 

I have been watching ESPN’s coverage of the WSOP Main Event, and believe that guy named Khan may fit my needs. He does have a Trunk Monkey way about him, at least in his Trunk Monkey dance style. I wonder if he is on Monster.com, or if he knows anyone in the Gambino family.

 

Well the prison was a bit upset today. Here is the situation, a black female, in denim Capri style pants, was seen hitchhiking near a local highway. An employee, who’s IQ is suspect, calls the institution and makes the report. OMG! Emergency Count! Well at 1330 hours (1:30 pm for those of you in Rio Linda) the Emergency Count is initiated. Per our procedures, every inmate is to be returned to their cells immediately. Well it is visiting day, so it was determined by our administration that not all the inmates had to return. If an inmate was visiting a family member, they would not have to return. I do appreciate the institutions attempts to facilitate family unite, however that really missed up the count. I mean REALLY missed up the count. Long story short, the Emergency Count cleared three hours after is was initiated. But let’s look at what may have happened. If that was an inmate, and it has happened, we would not have found out for three plus hours. What are the chances of recovery after giving the felon a three hour head start? Not good I would guess. In corrections we ride a fine line of what is prudent and what is expected by the general public. If we would have recalled all the visiting inmates, there would be an outrage from the visiting families. If we have an escaped inmate, we have provided a three head start. I always lean towards a small disruption over a large one. The inmate families may have been displaced for a few hours, but an escaped inmate disrupts the whole system. I don’t know, my opinion, and we know what those are worth.
