So I haven't been playing as much of late just because of stuff going on around me. I've drank everynight since thursday and I don't really play when I drink for obvious reasons. Yesterday I decided to play some donkaments. I ended up sattying into the UB 200k and played that. Did ok early but ended up with about 3k at 150/300/25. I open pushed 2 hands in a row and picked up the blinds. Very next hand guy raises ep I push AA, shorty calls, and OR calls. AA<88 though on 7448x board and I'm out around 400ish. I ended up cashing in the HU tourney on PS for about 50$. I played 1k hands tonight and I felt I played pretty good just didn't get anything going and lost a few gay hands. Ended up losing ~500$. I have to get up early tomorrow to go with a friend to meet a financial advisor. I'm going to invest in a Roth IRA instead of just having my money sitting in my bank account.

I don't like that 22 bet with the turned top set. It's a good play, but I think on that drawy of a board you're better off betting it hard because there's a good chance he's drawing and you're giving him a good price. I'd rather do it with like 77 on a 279A board...much more likely for them to bluff raise.

I agree though that it's tough folding sometimes because players are so horrible. I may be seeing you soon at 200nl. I'm back on UB.

Hand Ranges

This could be tough Brian but an entire session on applying ranges to opponents and the thoughts behind the conclusions.

Then using Pokerstove and the PT Replayer proper analysis of selected hands to represent equity decisions.

I really think a vid of multitabling, 2-4 tables, would be great Brian. Maybe 6max 5/10, my level for the moment. Either way, what ever you come up with will be sick.

I would like to see a vid of 50NL or 100NL, IMO there is no real need for 1,000NL or 60,000NL? lmao Always looking forward to your vids though!!!!

I'm getting ready to head out to Vegas in about a week and a half and I want to know what readers want to read about. I'll be staying with Zimba and working at the CR expo. I was still not feeling that well today after my drunken debacle on Saturday night. I played for only 1 hour on Bodog and booked a nice win.

 

Day 3: $455.51

Needed: $15122.24

 

I'm ready to really start grinding tomorrow. Looking to get in about 1.5-2K hand in 2/4 PLO and maybe a 20 table session at 1/2 NL. I will be playing the 6-max Bodog Poker Open tomorrow and a few tourneys on Stars. Big Congrats to Rusostreet for taking down BPO event 1 for 26K, it was a long overdue win.

The clown who invented hard plastic needs to be tied to a chair and wrapped in this stuff. We should probably throw stones at him before wrapping him. It is ridiculous how much effort it requires to open. Even after 5 minutes spent trying to pry it open, another 5 spent looking for scissors, and another 5 spent figuring out how you are going to cut into it, you still end up cutting/scratching your hands. I went back to work Monday and have not played much poker since then.  My job requires a fair amount of manual labor for about 2-3 months of the year when we get stuff done to open up to the public.  Basically its random shit, but I've been working on the Alpine Slide.  Its basically a huge luge type track that people go down on sleds or "karts".  We remove about 90 pieces each year to open it up so people don't run over them while sking in the winter.  To be honest its pretty shitty work because its a bitch to get everything level and fit right.  We also work in the rain, and its been rainy out the last two days : (  

So really I have just been too tired and sore to play, or even want to play.  I personally hate to play when I feel like crap or when I'm tired, so I don't.  I think once I get adjusted to getting up at 6am and doing manual labor till 3:30 I can play 1k-1.5k hands a day.  I can get about 3k-4k hands in on the weekend as well.

So far I've played 2300 hands in June and I'm up 2 buy ins running just over 5ptbb/100.  Hopefully I can keep that winrate up.  I've also decided I'm going to open up 1 table of 25NL this weekend and see how it goes.  I will add more tables if I do ok, which I foresee myself doing.  I have over 30 buy ins for 25NL so I need to get my ass moved up ASAP.

I thought I played quite well today.

I was up a little more than 3k, and was about to call it for tonight. I had already closed three of my four tables so I only had one left open. Last hand before I get to the blinds I pick up AA. MP open, I reraise and we end up allin. He show KK and obviously hits the K and scoop the pot for +4k. Grrr...

Sometimes I really hate this game, but then I start thinking "Hey I win that pot 8 times out of 10", and calms down pretty fast. On the bright side I´m up 20 of 24 days so far in January.

I must say that this new site is fantastic. It looks amazing. I can't wait to dive in and continue filling my brain with video buffet. Damn good idea to make blogs open to everyone. Proud to be a part of the Cardrunners family.
