What's Your Edge

PS: Some very good comments on my video - I appreciate them all. I def agree that the video is fairly nitty, but IMO i think that it is an easy, profitable way to play 1/2. LAG styles are very profitable too, but I feel that like a 19/15 style still gets paid off a lot and reduces variance in general.
PPS: Why is being nitty such a bad thing? better than the opposite, lol.
I will get caught up on my numbers tomorrow.Kinda tired and think im gonna crash for the night.Overall was a nice profitable day for the most part.I will fill you in on how the months going tomorrow.

nice comeback. looks like things are finally turning around for you. it's about time! keep it up.
Had a v good poker day today... ive just been playing 2-4NL exclusively for the last 10 days or so and its been v profitable, even though in general i haven't run that well. Here ae my results from today:
Im gonna start playing a mix of 3-6 and 2-4 now... i had a mini losing session at 3-6 and decide (correctly im sure) that in money terms iuts definitely mow profitable for me to just play 2-4. Having said that, I want to be playing 5-10 soon and before i can do that, i wanna be dominating 3-6 like i am at 2-4 at the moment!
Apart from that I got all my exam results now.... I got 64, 68, 78 and 70... so an average of 70 which is really really strong as it's on a 1st (ie the best degree you can get) so im really pleased!

do those scores mean, say like on the one you got a 64 on, that you only got 64 percent of the questions right? And if so, why is that good?

In my degree to get over 70 you have to have done extensive outside reading and brought in alternative theories blah blah... if you get 80 or above, that means you're on a par with the lecturers and it is deemed publishable, meaning you can publish your exam paper as an acedemic resource, so it has to be sick sick good It's pretty much impossible to get 80 or higher and any mark above 60 is v good and any mark above 70 is pretty unbelievable. I'd estimate i was in the top 5 atleast out of 200 for my mark of 78. Getting above that is pretty much impossible, Im sure it's different in the USA and maybe a mark of 85% is only good, but for these exams 60 is considered v good! xxxx

Nice job, quick question, what kind of sessions do you normally play? How many tables/hours, and do you take breaks?
Im trying to be able to put in more solid sessions, what kind of set up are you using? Thanks!

I play 6 tables at once and I try not to play more than 2K hands ever without a significant break in between, cos otherwise i feel myself slipping.
I have Poker Tracker and PA HUD and have just: VPIP, PFR, Total Agg Factor, and number of hands displayed.
I think it's a delicate balance to how long you play asession... not long enough and you don't get into a rythm and you don't know your players and too long and you burn out and play bad. Make sure you take breaks where you go outside and think about the session you are playing!

So here it is, my results for the last 3 months. November I started having a bad run at 2 4 PLO, so bad I lost like 5k in 3-4 days....A combination of running bad, and then playing bad (i.e. reraising anything)....I switched to NL and grinded my way back up a bit. So I basically need a strong December showing to try to get my goal of 20k profit in 4 months! I am going to keep playing PLO and basically if I have time takinga shot at MTTs. I find especialy on Starz ont he weekend and evenings PLO seems really profitable. During the day people are much tighter.
I am also going to try to make a pretty graph later this week to brake down wins and loses by site...
Thanks
Radu
