Only made it about an hour in both the UB and Stars tournys. I decided to pass on the FTP and go play nine holes w/ my dad and little brother. It was a good choice. My game is finally starting to come around which I am really happy about.

Tonight Im gonna watch entourage and probably play an hour session of PP 5/10nl.

I had another great session at FTP today too. FTP is a godsend. Those games are crazy soft the last week that I've played there.

I got to the airport early and I had a little over an hour before my flight started boarding. They had wireless so I decided it would be a good time to get a session in, especially since I wasn't sure I'd be able to play later. I ran great the entire session. I even sucked out once. I'll try to get the HH later. It was a pretty interesting hadn where I got allin preflop with JJ vs QQ and hit a jack.

I played about an hour and a half at 930. That session was pretty standard, but went well. I picked up about a buyin.

Man oh man. I just played a long ass session 8 tabling on party. I was down 10k, even, down 13k, even, down 7k, even. Finally I ended up 3k. I'll take it. I played ok for most of the session but I made a few questionable plays and was definitely playing too loose for parts of the session. I'm just glad to come out of that session a winner.

He overbet the pot a bit on the flop, so I was pretty sure he had a strong hand like two pair or a set. I figured I could get his stack if I hit my flush. I hit it on the turn and decided to bet it pretty strongly. I did and he used up his whole time bank but ended up pushing.

After reading today about how people think I'm terrible and I'm bust, I was motivated to get in a good session. I played for about 2 hours today and won 4 buyins. I def made some mistakes throughout the session, but overall, I think I played well. I can already tell the difference of playing with a bankroll again. I didn't get tilted at all when I got in some bad spots and lost a few tough pots. I know I would have tilted a few weeks ago when every pot meant a lot more if I was playing 5/10 since I didn't have much online.

This hand was the highlight of the session. I had a few people donate some money to me like this hand. It was very nice of him to donate 2.5 buyins. It's not too often you can get it all in in a 500 bb pot w/ your opponent drawing dead. I'll take it.

I lost 5 buyins today between two sessions. I managed to get hit and run twice and had a number of bad beats. I bluffed off one stack right at the end of the session and the guy left the very next hand. There is nothing as frustrating as that. I quit immediately b/c that tilted me like crazy. When youre having a bad session and then someone pulls a move like that, it's probably best to just go do something else so you don't steam away a few more buyins. At least I was able to quit. I'll wait to post HHs until I am winning some pots.

I've been living in the city for over a week now and I'm really liking it. I can tell that I'm going to have a lot of good times living here. I like our apartment a lot and it's a great location right by Wrigley. I went to my first cubs game of the summer on Friday. I really love going to games at wrigley. I'm going to make an effort to go to as many as possible. I especially would like to go on fridays because its a great way to kick off the weekend. On saturday we went to "the world's largest block party." It honestly wasn't that huge, but it was a lot of fun. Our friend's brother was working it so we got unlimited beers for the few hours we were there. The weather was great and we met some cool people there. I always love partying outside.

I really just haven't played much poker since I got home from Vegas. I'm a little disappointed about that, because June was the first time I put in some serious hours since before the bill passed last year. I'm going to try to play more this upcoming week.

I played for awhile today and did very well. The first session I was playing 10/25nlhe and plo on ub. The games were very good and I ran pretty well. In the end, I won a little more than 3 buyins. The second session I played 5/10 and ran very poorly. I dropped about half a buyin despite a few people handing me buyins early in the session.

A few people have told me that nip/tuck is a very good show. I'm going to start watching that tonight.

So I am a computer donk, as most of the people who know me recognize, so I'm going to make this PSA. If anyone can find and IM me a DJ A.M. session with good quality so that I can listen to it on my computer or put it in my Ipod, $50 is yours. I have found some good snippets of his on youtube, but that's about it. I'm talking like a 20 minute+ session. Extra for good quality or multiple sesions.

Yesterday was basically the first time I played poker since Thursday.  Maybe I should take 3 day breaks more often.  I ended up winning about 110k for the day.  I just couldn't lose no matter what I played.  I was up about 38k as of my previous blog entry.  I then won another 20k playing Prima 50/100.  After that, a rare good 100/200 game ran on FullTilt, featuring DanDock, so I sat.  I built my stack up in this hand by checking and calling a bunch, like good players do: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1619417

I ended up winning 50k for that session.  Since I was obviously not losing at anything, I then decided to take a shot at a soft-looking 500/1k HORSE game.  I've been playing some 50/100 and 100/200 HORSE lately trying to learn, but I'm still sort of rough around the edges.  I did think I was +EV in this game, though.  It broke fairly soon but I won about 6500.  Despite Taylor egging me on, I decided not to play 1k/2k HORSE with Antonius, Benyamine, and a few others.

It was my best day in a while.  I then proceeded to sleep 9 hours and I'm gonna go Halloween costume shopping today.  Maybe I'll play some poker later too but I'm not really in the mood now.

So ive been grinding the 1/2 nl games on stars over the last few days. Since starting this 20 tabling stuff, I am running at 4ptbb/100 over the first 50,000 hands, which is nice. I also like the fact that session to session, there are very very little swings. I have had 4 -5 buyin downswings so far, but thats it. The bellagio tournaments start in 4/2 so I will be playing them then. Hopefully it is time to run hot again.
