What's Your Edge
Today is going really well so far. The woman who is giving me work this week is working from home. She has sent me a few things to do through email, but so far I've had about 15 minutes of real work. I've mostly just been surfing the net and getting some things ready for Vegas. Also, the radio station I listen to during the day is doing an artist portrait on CCR all day long, so thats sweet.
The White Sox need to get their act together. I'm not a White Sox fan, but I am a Tigers fan. I grew up in Detroit and used to go to Tigers games all the time. It's nice to finally see them winning, let alone killing. They have never been a good team as long as I have liked them. Of course I want Detroit to edge out Chicago, but I was loving the close competition. A lot of my friends are Sox fans and it was fun to argue who was better. I believe the Sox are 8.5 games behind and have lost like 12/15 or somethign crazy like that. WTF? They are a good team on paper and should be doing much much better. Of course, it's not easy to keep up with the Tigers with how they are playing right now.
Anyway, I'm going to Vegas tomorrow. I'm excited and dissapointed at the same time. I think it will be a ton of fun, but I also think that not being 21 will put a damper on the trip. It's just so ridiculous that I can't legally drink or gamble in this country. ugggggghhhh.
I don't think I will have time for any poker today because I need to pack for Vegas and I think I might take a nap after work to catch up on some sleep.
I think I'm up 1.5 buyins for the month now. VN work Andrew! Hopefully I can pull in a few more before the month is over. I'm not very good live because the game is just too slow typically. I don't know if I'll even play much live while I'm there.
Just gonna throw a bunch of random thoughts at ya...
Red Sox Nation is nothing more than a bunch of bandwagon idiots. Here is a list of things I can't stand associated with the Red Sox...
1.) Pink hats. Nothing worse than a female who pretends to be this huge fan...some are legit fans but they certainly wouldnt be wearing a pink hat.
2.) Sweet Caroline. Somehow this song became the song of the Red Sox...no clue how.
3.) Wally the Green Monster...he is really cute though.
4.) Seats on top of the monster...bring back the fuckin net.
5.) Expensive tickets. I remember the days when I could walk up to the ticket office and buy as many tickets as I wanted to. This was not long ago...10 years ago during high school. Suddenly going to a Sox game is the cool thing to do so there are no tickets available and the only way to get some are knowing someone or overpaying on stub hub.
There are many more but I don't want to come across as a bitter person...although I'm sure I already have at this point. Who wouldn't be bitter? Any true Sox fan should be. Friday night at the Yankees game there was some insanely hot lady walking up stairs to get to her seat...SHE bumped into an older fella who was drinking a beer and some beer ALMOST spilled on her. She gave him the most evil stare she could possibly muster...10-15 years ago if this happened they would have exchanged high fives and gave each other a pat on the ass...not anymore.
Don't even get me started on the Patriots or Celtics...
So close to typing a bunch of shit but I guess it would be a tad repetitive so I'll refrain from doing so.
Ordered an "Alex P Keaton For President 08" t-shirt the other day...I don't expect any of the younger members to know who Alex is...if you somehow do I like your style.
My buddy Red is going to be on that tv show "I Want to Work for Diddy"...it's going to be absolutely hilarious to watch him..I hope Diddy chews him out so bad. If he embarrasses himself on the show...forget the fact that I said he was my friend.
Poker is going really well...SNG Land couldn't be better. As mayor of SNG Land I would like to say that it's a huge dissapointment to lose one of our residents. Goodbye Andrew Wiggins...it was a pleasure to have you for your brief stay.
Bill Seibert Bill Seibert Bill Seibert
Can't believe 'Dark Knight" is going to make more money than "Indiana Jones"...Dr Jones will not be pleased.
Fuck Gus Hansen.
For the first time I watched every episode of PAD the past week. I must say that I thought Brian played incredibly well. Johnny Chan looked like he couldn't beat a $5 dollar SNG. Durr came off as super annoying. He was talking to the camera about "effective stacks"...I'm sure the common poker players knows alot about that...nice job catering to the small 2+2 audience. Oh ya...we get it...you like sushi...just STFU. Robl calling out Hellmuth was pretty silly too...especially when he didn't play so well. With that said...congrats to Brian for winning and coming off as a gentleman.
Aruba in 2 months...I'm pretty excited. Don't know if I'm going to play it yet. Does anyone have any UB money for trade?
Thats about all. take care!

LL2 needs his own tv show/radio show/podcast/newspaper column/public access show/etc this blog is just too good to not have more exposure.
It's sad that I read more blogs and posts on here than watch videos (the ratio is at least 20:1).
My buddy is buying a bunch of sox tickets for some games this year, but I'm also interested in getting cubs tickets. I'm a sox fan, but I'm moving about a block away from Wrigley Field so I'm looking to go to some games. If anyone has some tickets to sell or just has extras to bring people along, let me know. Thanks.
Especially any tickets to the cubs/sox series. Probably hard to come by, but I figured I'd ask.

Red Sox and Manny take down second game with walk-off home run.
Yanks go down and are 0 - 2 facing elimination
Any CR members Red Sox fans?
I had a fairly low-key weekend. On Friday I met up to watch the Yankees/Red Sox game at a Red Sox bar. I could have been the obnoxious Yankee Fan amidst the crowd of Red Sox fans in the bar; but I kept the shit-talking to a minimum and just watched as Wang threw an awesome game and the Yankees won the only game out of three this weekend. Some broad pulled down her pants and showed the bar her Boston tattoo + ass. She was a real treasure...
Kevin has a thing for nice asses...so he was all about it. Red Sox fans....
I can think of plenty tattoos I would get before tattoo-ing a Red Sox emblem on my body.
Exhibit A:
Exhibit B:
Saturday night I stayed in and watched Braveheart...because it is the greatest movie ever. It was sleeting and cold in Chicago...and about time I take a night off from drinking. And Sunday I made the most delicious cupcakes ever and lost the bet I made on the Yankees winning this series. (next time blue, next time).
Like I said, low-key (aside from Friday night)...I have a feeling this upcoming weekend might ring a different tune.
Question:
Is something cooler if its a secret? Like music the masses are yet to hear or a fashion trend that you take on before H&M? At what point of saturation does something become passe or not cool?
I’m just wondering.
