Got through day 1 of the Main Event.

I actually got down to 3.5k at one point from my starting stack of 20k, but finished the day with 74k.

It's kind of sad but when I was down to 3.5k, I was happy that I was about to be going home, and then when I tripled up to 11k, I was depressed. I'm really ready to get out of Vegas.

Don't get me wrong though. I definitely want to win the ME.

There actually weren't that many really interesting hands. Play is pretty poor, so I've been playing straightforward (for me).

I play again Wednesday. I really wanna have a huge stack or no stack by the end of Wednesday. I'm not going to shy away from gambles if I think they're +EV.

GL to any readers still playing. Hopefully we won't run into each other until the final table.

I’m done with Christmas shopping. I did a hit and run in the mall on Sunday. Found what I needed and was gone. Got my wife cloths ,the new Ipod touch and a bunch of little stuff. Mom and dad I bought them a new HDTV. The mother-in-law anew dvd player. Since my son broke her old one. Plus i bought myself a XBOX 360

Poker: My money will be in FTP on Wednesday and I will start playing. I will try to become more active in the Micro stakes forum. I will post hand that I have trouble w/.

 

SO I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT CHRISTMAS.....

Week 7 started out great when I won about 6 or 7 buyins within the first 4k hands. From there, I had two snags in my progress. First of all, I work as a Golf Professional and it was my club's annual Men's Member-Guest Tournament this weekend (big deal for golf pros). This put poker on hold for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of this week :(. Second snag was my play. My assumption is because of my fast start at $100NL, I thought the level was easy. I lost a lot of concentration and started making marginal (at best) plays along with horrible plays. These plays obviously didn't pay off and I ended my week (on Wednesday) barely up. Here are the week's results.

PS: Wednesday was my turn to play in the lessons. Brian, Frankie, and Pawel helped me take down 2nd in the CR league tourney on PS (Josh didn't help)! Wish I would have won but beating Josh at the FT is good enough.

No poker what so ever, I am really pissed of about the fact that i havent played for like 10 days because I have been up to something all the time. After my exam on wednesday I will be fully back and hope to hit the tables hard.

I played pretty well over the past days. I just moved up to 100NL and made 2 sessions yerterday at these stakes. The $/hr is exactly where I wanted it to be (plus it doesn't include rakeback). Anyway, here are my CYB stats:
