And since I'm a baller, I paid 1/2 price. OK, the 50% off coupon helped. But the old lady at the cashier was totally checking me out.

Couldn't find any NL games today so I'm brushing up on my PLO. Do I have to have been good at one point to 'brush up' on something? Anyways, I'm playing plo. It's relaxing actually because I play plo at lower stakes than I play nl so I don't stress over losing money.
It does get frustrating though. Partially because of the swings in plo, but moreso because I'm not a world class PLO player and I want to be right away. I guess I'll just keep practicing.
I'll try to get some pics of my office up for you guys.
Good luck.

All these players are strong players with proven track records and a following of fans. The reality is I'm not interested in the name game where you fight to get a picture, quote or interview versus 20 other journalists with Gus Hansen. What I've most enjoyed about this World Series is covering CardRunners members who are unknown in the poker world. They are real people, who've worked hard on their game and taking their shot at the big time. They are accessible and don't have big egos. Who knows, with time they may become big poker stars and the equation may change. Until then I'm relishing the opportunity to see CardRunners member succeed on the biggest stage in poker.

I was looking on YouTube for a couple new videos of songs I'm listening to currently, but I couldn't find them and then was reminded by one video of a group that I loved back in high school - Tears for Fears. Their first album, The Hurting, was a classic concept album filled with emotional distress and primal therapy, just what an angst filled teen needs, right? I saw them play live at the Tower in Philly, a run down theater that only had the edgiest bands.
The first song is Pale Shelter.
The second song is Head Over Heels.
The third song is Everybody Wants to Rule the World.
The last song was remade a number of times by other artists - Mad World.
This is one of the more popular and poignant remakes by Gary Jules.

Shout is another really good song, but my entry was already long, so I made some cuts.
Hello. world!
It is kinda sad. The world just keeps getting hit with disaster after another in some of the poorest part of the world. The earthquake deathtoll rate has risen to estonishing 40,000 people. Even pokerstars have started out a relief fund so you can donate directly through stars.
I am on my way to Vegas in a couple hours and am very excited. I plan on playing some poker but am mainly there to bowl the Junior World Team Challenge. Its my last year and I have an amazing team. We cannot fail under any circumstance imo. I then go bowl Junior Gold in Detroit where I hope to repeat and gain another year on Team USA. After that is the biggest 2 weeks of my life to date.
